Ken Harris
Before assuming the editorship of Jane’s World Railways in 1997, Ken
Harris was publisher and editor of an international rail industry journal, Passenger
Rail Management, and also acted as an organiser of conferences on topics relating
to the rail industry, air-rail links and intermodal freight. His current Jane’s
responsibilities also include contributing to special studies and consultancy
projects and working in close editorial collaboration with JWR’s sister
product, Jane’s Urban Transport Systems. He also acts as a consultant
to an international rail industry exhibitions company.
Earlier in his career, Ken Harris served as publishing director for Jane’s
surface and air transport products, with responsibility for the general management
and development of the list.
He is married with two daughters and lives in Brighton, East Sussex, UK.
Jackie Clarke (Contributing Editor)
Jackie Clarke joined Jane's Information Group in 1989, working within the Transport portfolio of titles. Jackie has remained within this market area of the company as it evolves from a traditional publishing organisation to an e-business. During this time, Jackie has worked in the various capacities of Assistant Editor for the titles International ABC Aerospace Directory, Jane's Airports and Handling Agents, Jane's Road Traffic Management, Jane's World Airlines and most recently as Contributing Editor, (Manufacturers) for Jane's World Railways. She has also recently gained additional responsibility for the Manufacturers section of Jane's Urban Transport Systems, the sister title to JWR.
